How to handle failures

Updated: Mar 5, 2018

It is a real disappointment when one of your creations doesn't turn out the way you wanted it to be, the colors you chose do not behave as expected on the surface, the resin didn't dry nicely, the das sculpture got broken from an excessive Dremel sanding, etc.

Instead of getting upset, it is better to try and learn from your failures. Keep an audit: write down what happened, so you will not repeat the same mistakes again. You have an opportunity to begin again and this time succeed. You can also use this opportunity to design your sculpture even better than you originally designed it :-)

Take into account that there will be failures. So do not use your best piece of wood slice, or a big amount of resin. Perform some tests before the real creation; design a step-by-step POC (proof of concept); do not hurry! Plan carefully and you will reach your final destination surely and with a lovely result.
